A COMPLEX FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS

The Accolade project at York University was a visionary initiative that created two new striking facilities - Accolade East and Accolade West - for Canada’s future artists, scholars, and educators. The expansion provided the Music, Dance, and Theatre departments of the Faculty for Fine Arts with state-of-the-art teaching and performance facilities.

JOEL Rigging fitted up the stage of the 325-seat Sandra Faire & Ivan Fecan proscenium theatre with a full complement of counterweight rigging.

The house of the Tribute Communities Recital Hall adjacent to the theatre features motorized acoustic banners.

In the scene shop JOEL Rigging supplied and installed a motorized paint frame system to facilitate the paining of backdrops and scenery.
