ISLAND ENTERTAINMENT

With the construction of the theatre in 1964, the Confederation Centre for Arts in Prince Edward Island became a true cultural hub welcoming thousands of visitors each year. Many of these flock to enjoy performances of Anne of Green Gables – The Musical. With a company of 28 amazing Canadian talents and a 14-member live orchestra in the pit they enjoy the performances in the 1,109-seat mainstage theatre, the largest theatre in Canada east of Montreal.

The theatre witnessed a major renovation in 2016 to improve the acoustics and to update all of the technical systems. JOEL Rigging replaced the manual fly system with a hybrid motorized and counterweight batten system. The motorized linesets are ETC Vortek hoists and the counterweight sets are JOEL Rigging’s own components.
